Well, here I am. I'm a horn player supporting my addiction by programming Python and helping out with some cool Free Software projects. And I'm actually really insane in the clinical sense, and not just a bit strange. So here I am, typing away...
Actually, most people are sane in the clinical sense, but most people also have no background in clinical psychology or psychiatry aside from the usual "Drugs/Doctors/Establishment Bad, Plants Good" reductionism that seems damn prevalent. But then again, when it really gets down to causality, people prefer the confidence of leaders proclaiming that it was their superior vision that caused success rather than the questions answered with only more difficult questions that is the definition of science.
But after being part of both, I prefer the uncertainty and constant searching that is science to the prejudging and false implication that is all to common.
A really good read on mental health is the Wikipedia article. And, generally, Wikipedia is almost always my first stop on the NO MORE DAMN QUESTIONS binges I frequently go on.

Is anyone sane in the clinical sense? If so, I don't want to meet them.
